Autumn on the Somerset Levels
Always wanted to take better photos, but need a helping hand?
Open to Old Oaks guests, locals and visitors to the area
The Somerset Levels are the photographic home of Stephen Spraggon, a local photographer who has spent many an hour exploring the well known landmarks and hidden gems of the county.
Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral and Cheddar Gorge are some of the county's most popular landscapes and the chosen subjects for thousands of budding photographers, however, there are countless other locations just crying out to be captured on film.
Stephen has designed his Somerset Levels workshops to give you an experience of dusk or dawn (or both) in locations that offer excellent potential for capturing your perfect masterpiece.
Landscape photography workshops are useful for photographers of all abilities. It doesn't matter whether you are getting to grips with your camera's settings or if you have several years experience taking photos, Stephen will help you progress your photography.
On the Somerset Levels, Autumn tends to peak in early November so this workshop is timed to make the most of the colourful foliage. Stephen will accompany you to locations that are known to have incredible Autumn displays such as Stockhill Woods, Compton Dundon and Deerleap.
Example itinerary:
Meet at Stockhill Woods at 10:30 am
Location1 ~ Stockhill Woods 2 ~ Waldegrave Pond 3 ~ Deerleap for sunset
